Hearthstone020 Archives a digital collectible card game developed by Blizzard and published by NetEase in China, generated over RMB one billion ($140 million) in revenue within 40 days after its return to the mainland Chinese market on September 25, according to the Chinese gaming media GameLook. Currently, the game’s daily revenue remains stable at around RMB ten million ($1.4 million), still 7-10 times higher than the same period in 2022. In September, over five million users pre-registered for Hearthstone’s return, NetEase announced. NetEase and Blizzard were separated for around 18 months, from the termination of their partnership on January 24, 2023, until they announced the resumption of their partnership on April 10, 2024, after which Blizzard’s games began to re-enter the mainland Chinese market.
