The new feature, accessible through Douyin’s wallet, requires users to manually open the wallet to find the ride-hailing option. Currently, Gaode Maps is the only transportation service provider available on the platform. While Douyin provides access to the service, Gaode Maps manages the ride process. However, the Douyin version of Gaode’s ride-hailing service offers fewer features compared to the standalone Gaode app. Notably, users cannot access options like carpooling or ride-sharing.
